Hey friends and family! If you are reading this, thank you so much for checking out my blog! On here I will be posting updates about my trip, what the Lord is teaching me through this, and how you can support me through prayer and financially if you feel led 🙂
First things first, you are probably wondering why I am going on this trip. Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time in prayer about where the Lord is leading me next and what he is calling me to be doing. While this season of waiting and uncertainty has been really hard, the Lord has taught me soo much. About a month ago the Holy Spirit lead me to check out the World Race website. I had looked into doing mission trips before, but either the timing wasn’t right or I didn’t have peace about it. I saw that the world race had shorter mission trips for this summer. After praying about it, I felt led to apply! Usually, when I’m thinking about doing something like this, I get super anxious and uncertain. However, through the whole process of applying and learning about this trip, I have had so much peace from the Lord. I decided to take this step of faith and trust that the Lord is going to lead me through this and work out all the details. I’m going on this trip because I feel the Lord is calling me to serve him in a radical way. Through this, he wants to not only grow me but use me in new ways to build his kingdom.
What will this trip look like? Each day in Costa Rica will look different, but a few of the things my team and I will be doing there include: Ministering to kids, supporting the local church and community, working on manual labor projects as well as worship, preaching, and evangelism. I will be traveling on this trip from May 31st to July 2nd!
There are two big ways that you can partner with me to help me get there!
PRAYER!!
– Pray for my team as we travel and minister to the people of Costa Rica.
-That the people we meet and that the church there would encounter Jesus and be changed.
-That the Lord would grow me closer to him and teach me more about his heart through this!
– That the Lord would provide the needed funds for this trip
Financially:
As part of this short-term mission experience, I am responsible for raising my own support which is about $3,700. This includes the initial trip cost as well as travel and training and of course an occasional Costa Rican coffee. I’m asking that if you feel led you would consider supporting me on this trip. Any amount makes a difference! I know that God is faithful and since he has led me to this I’m believing he will provide. There are two ways you can do this.
